Yachtmaster
Course with Mike Dymond Maritime Training
Pre Yachtmaster or Coastal Skipper
Examination Training
If
you have now decided to go ahead and take the RYA’s Yachtmaster or
Coastal Skipper practical examination, make sure that you are giving
yourself the best chance of achieving your goal by having a few days
training on your boat.
As an RYA examiner I will be able to tune up those
boat handling skills, navigation techniques and total boat management
principles to the standard that is expected of a yachtmaster or Coastal
Skipper. As part of the training package there will be a full debriefing
session at the end as well as an ongoing debriefing during the training.
I will give you an honest opinion as to your potential on the
examination. This type of training package is also suitable for any
owner wishing to improve their overall skills but does not wish to take
an examination.
Training can include:-
"Man Overboard". All three aspects covered.
Handling in confinced waters under power and sail.
Powering and sailing off a berth.
Use of springs, transverse thrust and rudder in confined water.
Chartwork and navigation update.
IRPCS revision.
Efficient sail trim.
Boat management.
Before arranging the exam make sure that the following prerequisites are
completed.
